The Furniture Has Not Arrived

I'm still in limbo. No computer access at home as the laptop has decided to be incompatible with the system we have. Hopefully once the computer stuff all arrives it will work better.

The moving company has been "delayed" again. Every time I call they are "delayed." "It's our busy season." they keep reminding me. I don't give a crap. One would assume that if they are busy it is because they actually have customers, which all must be first-time users of their services because I can't imagine anyone ever using them after being jerked around so badly! The fact that they are busy should not prevent them from giving me the service that I have paid for. I was told, when I yelled this into the phone on Saturday, that I need to calm down or they cannot help me further.

"Help me further?!?" I said, amazed, "You haven't 'helped' me at all! Where the fuck is my stuff?"

Oh my gosh! What company did you use? Can you file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau? Seems like they would need to deliver your stuff so they can use the truck to assist other customers, now that business is booming. If you paid with a credit card, after your stuff is delivered, you might want to write to your credit card company and withhold some of the payment.

I hate hate hate to bring this up but our moving company stranded us for three weeks w/o furniture when we moved to CO in 2003. I was 33-36 wks pregnant and sleeping on an air mattress on the floor. They didn't so much as tell us to go fuck ourselves. I had to call the main office and they were completely unsympathetic. All of Hawk's medical equipment and dress clothing was in there and he had to go buy new. They gave us a check for I think $50 for pots, pans, dishes, etc. I think it bought two pots. Moving companies are lying fucks.

Moving companies are the worst, in general. Even the great ones are ust...horrible. When we moved last year, our furniture came on time, but a monitor and a set of ladders never arrived. Ladders. I ask you - why steal a ladder?

Anyway, you have my sympathy.
